Our aim is to produce safe products and solutions to environment and our customers while offering a safe working environment to our employees. Based on this core value, we consider the environmental effects in everything we do – by setting goals that make our operations even more environmentally friendly. As a company with Nordics roots, sincerity is important operational cornerstone for us.
To maintain a high level of operations, we plan ahead with Sustainability Roadmap and measure the safety related observations and actions closely. The mission of Teknikum Group is to drive sustainability in polymer technology. Therefore, our brand promise to customers is that they can reach sustainability while using Teknikum® products and services.
Quality Systems and Responsible Care
We work constantly to develop production processes, personnel’s know-how and materials. In particular, by investing in occupational safety and environmentally friendly operational models.
We work in line with our documented and certified quality systems: The Teknikum plants have ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certificates. Vammala and Hungary plants also hold the highly demanding IATF16949:2016 certificate used in the vehicle industry. Teknikum is a registered supplier for the Level Crossings, Road Surface Units, Other Railway Materials and Equipment by TransQ Pre-Qualification System (TransQ ID: 200977).
Additionally, we are committed to The Chemical Industry Federation of Finland’s Responsible Care –environmental program: the most long-running and renowned voluntary program supporting sustainable development.
Social responsibility
The Teknikum All Stars ™ scholarship program supports goal-directed activities of local children and young people in countries where Teknikum operates. The scholarship program is part of Teknikum Group’s corporate responsibility strategy.
Scholarships can be applied for by Teknikum Group’s personnel as well as by external parties, individuals and clubs. We primarily select new scholarship recipients each year, but previous or other grants received do not preclude the submission of an application. As a selection criterion, we value diligence, positive attitude and a fair sense of doing. The hobbies can be related to, for example, sports, art, science or culture.
