Teknikum Group acquires the remaining shares of T-Plasztik – full ownership enables expansion of the plastic and rubber product offering in Hungary

With an agreement signed on 21st of July T-Plasztik has become a fully owned subsidiary of Teknikum Group. The cooperation between the two companies already started in 2013 and since 2015 Teknikum has been a shareholder of T-Plasztik, with a majority ownership since 2018.
The full acquisition merges the companies’ know-how and boosts industrial and consumer polymer product related services especially in Hungary and its surrounding countries.
Teknikum has its roots in the Finnish Rubber Factory established in 1898. The company Teknikum was established in 1989 as an independent company after having been a part of the Nokia Group. Teknikum Group has its headquarters in Finland. Teknikum operates four factories in Finland and has a sales office and sales representation in Germany and Russia. The manufactured products include high quality industrial hoses, molded products and the development as well as manufacturing of rubber compounds. Teknikum also provides protective rubber lining services for various demanding industries.
Together with T-Plasztik, Teknikum Group employs approximately 600 people.
T-Plasztik will continue to serve their customers as before with the additional ability to offer a wider product and service portfolio.
