Children at Work Day at Teknikum

Teknikum took part in the national Children at Work Day, welcoming a group of enthusiastic young visitors to explore what their parents do and to get a closer look at industrial work in a safe and inspiring environment.

The day began with a focus on safety, one of Teknikum’s core values. The children were introduced to the different types of personal protective equipment used in our operations, learning why each item is essential in an industrial workplace. They also enjoyed trying the equipment themselves, from helmets to hearing protection.

After lunch, our guests were taken on a guided factory tour. The visit included a stop at the hose production area, where they could see the impressive hose hall and learn how heavy-duty industrial hoses are manufactured. Walking through the plastics corridor, the children were fascinated to watch various products being made and to see the materials and processes up close.

The afternoon continued with creative activities such as gingerbread decorating and coloring. The group also visited Teknikum’s showroom, where they could view a selection of finished products and understand how the items seen in production become complete solutions for our customers.

The day was filled with discovery, excitement, and many great questions. We would like to thank all participating children, their parents, and our staff for contributing to a warm, safe, and memorable event.
