Jani Hämäläinen appointed as CEO of Teknikum Group

Teknikum Group Ltd. Board of Directors has appointed Jani Hämäläinen as the new CEO starting from 1.2.2019.

The chairman of the board Juha Rantanen comments:” During the past few years Teknikum’s international activities and operations in Hungary and China have strongly developed. It is now time to proceed to the next phase and progress further under Jani’s leadership. There is still much to do with increasing profitability and growth. As I welcome Jani to Teknikum I want to warmly thank Harri Ojala for his contribution in developing the company”.

Jani Hämäläinen, 44, (M.Sc., Chemical Engineering) joins Teknikum from Valmet Technologies, where he was in charge of Filtration Technology Unit since 2012. Filtration Technology Unit is a global player having operations in Finland, Portugal, United States, Brazil and China. During his career Jani has also been responsible for the Fabrics Business Unit’s operations in China.

On 1.4.2019 Teknikum Group management team is further strengthened with Juha-Matti Mäkelä who will start as the Group’s Finance Director.

Juha-Matti joins Teknikum from Valmet Technologies where he has been responsible for the Fabrics Business Unit’s finance management leading the finance departments of factories in Finland, Portugal, Brazil and China.

Juha-Matti has worked in various financial roles all his career. He brings a wide understanding of financial processes and over 10-year experience in international finance management.
